Our Beliefs

The Uniting Church’s core values and teachings are shaped by the truth of Jesus Christ, witnessed to in the pages of the Old and New Testaments, reflected in the words of the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds, and described by the Basis of Union, which is the founding and visionary document of the Uniting Church in Australia.

Ministry Team

Rev. Beatriz Skippen has been our minister since 2016. She leads our ministry team of lay volunteers in the worship and fellowship of our church. We have a great worship team that leads us in worship every Sunday. Our Sunday School ministry team leads an active Sunday School program, with relevant topics and fun activities each week. Our Church Council and Elders are involved in the decision making aspects of our church, seeking God alongside our Minister for His direction and leadership.

Youth & Childrens

With our local area consisting of many young couples, and families, the future for BUC is a vision encompassing the spiritual and worship needs of children, youth and families.

Our vibrant and growing Youth and Childrens' Ministry includes:
- Kids Uniting Playgroup
- Sunday School
- Regional Youth Events & Camps

Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care is the ministry of care and spiritual encouragement provided by our Minister and our Pastoral Care group. We offer help and caring for all members of our Church and those in the wider community who are associated with our Church, by listening, supporting, encouraging and befriending.

Our Minister and Church Council are responsible for encouraging our congregation to be those who are always welcoming new people and finding opportunities to care for them.  At times, our Elders and other Pastoral Care team care for those that are sick, bereaved, in financial trouble and generally seeking some assistance and prayer.
